| 100 Raster Green Bargraph Display | |||||||||

These are 100 position green LED bargraphs mounted on a PCB with various other LEDs and driver circuitry. The bargraph is constructed with bare green LED dies covered by a lenticular screen that spreads the point source of each LED die into a linear bar. Precise display of values is possible since the bargraph can be moved in very small increments. The board also includes three buttons, four seven-segment displays, and several indicator LEDs. Items are new old stock with minor shelf wear.

Soviet AL102A red LED, new old stock, tested. This red LED is housed in a silvery metal package and has a clear lens, allowing easy viewing of the LED die within. The AL102A is rather dim, and is rated for only 0.4 MCD. The wavelength emitted by this LED is 690 nanometers.

| Burroughs BX-2013 Beam-X Switch | |||||||||

These are Burroughs BX-2013 'Beam-X' magnetic beam switching tubes in good used condition. Magnetic beam switching tubes are complex vacuum devices that use crossed magnetic and electrical fields to preform a complete divide-by-10 operation within a single electron tube. Not much is known about the specifications or history of the BX-2013, other than that it is quite hard to find and probably a specially binned version of the BX-1000/BX-2000 series of magnetic beam switching tubes. Note that this model of tube includes an external mu shield, which allows for tight side-by-side installation of multiple tubes. This hard to find tube is a must-have for any Burroughs completionist or serious trochotron collector.

| Symbol 923 Barcode Scanner Module | |||||||||

These are Symbol 923 series 'Scan Engine' barcode scanner modules. Each of these modules is a completely self-contained barcode scanning system with mirror, laser, decoder, and a built in controller that reads the barcode data and transmits the contents of the barcode over a TTL-level serial connection. The 923 can decode numerous barcode formats, including UPC/EAN, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Interleaved 2 of 5, Codabar and MSI Plessey symbologies. The serial connection to the 923 is bidirectional, allowing for the scan parameters to be customized, and the module includes outputs for attachment of a beeper and scan success LED that can be triggered as needed. Hewlett-Packard 5082-7340 bitmapped LED display, tested and in good cosmetic condition. The 7340 is an intelligent display with built in drivers, onboard hexadecimal decoder with positive 8-4-2-1 logic inputs, display blanking and onboard memory, all in a tiny 8-pin DIP. These displays have clean full length leads and are useful for many different projects.

| General Time Corp 'Filmstrip' Clock Module | |||||||||

General Time Corp 'Filmstrip'-style clock movement, new old stock with minor shelf wear. This device is a four-digit clock module that uses plastic film belts to display numbers. The device uses three belts, a single 12 position belt displays the hours positions, while two single digit belts display the two numbers in the minutes position. A small numbered wheel displays seconds and rotates continuously when the clock is in operation, the minutes and hours change position over a five second period immediately after the seconds wheel rolls over to zero. The module includes an alarm function, which closes a set of contacts when the alarm is tripped. Two thumbwheels on the front of the device control the setting of the time and alarm. This module is powered by an attached 120VAC synchronous motor, and can be connected directly to a 120 volt wall outlet. The filmstrip display belts have translucent numbers and can be backlit by LED's, as this photo illustrates.

| Large Soviet Phosphorescent Neon Bulb | |||||||||

Large Soviet-made phosphor coated neon bulbs, unused industrial surplus with shelf wear. These gas filled lamps work just like a common neon bulb, but have a phosphorescent coating which is excited by the ionized gas within. This causes the bulbs to light up with a piercing blue glow instead of the orange discharge common for neon lamps. These bulbs have a bayonet base with a diameter of approximately 14mm.
